Read piano like you read guitar tabs: a note letter plus an octave number. Paste letter notes from any tutorial, then watch the keys light up and play along at your own speed.
Piano tabs here work like guitar tabs: instead of string and fret, each note is a letter plus an octave number. Everything you need:
C4Note C in octave 4 (middle C). Some keyboard manuals, including Yamaha's, call this C3.
F#3 Bb3Black keys: # is the one to the right, b the one to the left
-Hold the previous note one more beat
.Rest (silence) for one beat
C3+E3+G3Play several notes together (a chord)
|Bar line, just for reading
RH: / LH:Right-hand and left-hand lines
Not sure? Count the keys on your instrument, white and black together. For a custom range, enter the note name of the lowest and highest white key.
Click or tap any key to hear it. On a phone, swipe the keyboard sideways.
The example is Ode to Joy (Beethoven). Replace it with notes from a tutorial, or open a file. Next note is the best way to learn: it waits for you.
Tap a chord to hear it and see its keys. With your right hand, play a three-note chord with your thumb, middle finger and little finger. The chord is also lit on your full keyboard in the Player tab.
C4+E4+G4
Left hand: play just the first note of the chord, one or two octaves lower, while the right hand plays the chord.
